Python Developer

[Media Lab - YouTube Application Framework]

Responsibilities

• Implement/maintain the Global Lab Cloud-based Automation Framework, Backend services, and RESTful APIs.
• Implement the Multiprocessing service or Distributed system and Tune the Platform performance.
• Build high-performance ETL Data Pipelines to Ingest & Analyze massive Testing results from global labs.
• Work closely with device partners to Set up and Integrate the golden devices with the automation system.
• Analyze Video Streaming products and Triage system performance bottlenecks.
• Write well-designed, testable, and Scalable systems, Microservices, or Utilities.
• Co-work with Google - Korea, Japan, India, Europe, Taiwan Teams, and HCLTech - Taiwan, India Teams.

Min. Qualifications

• 3+ yrs of proven work exp. as a SW Engineer, Backend Developer, or Test Infrastructure Engineer.
• Exp. designing/implementing Cloud services, RESTful APIs, and Data/Testing pipelines.
• Ability to develop high-quality SW in Python (required), JavaScript, C++ or other programming languages.
• Experienced in Unix/Linux systems, Distributed Systems, and Parallel Computing (multiprocessing/threading).
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, NoSQL, and In-memory Datastores (e.g. Redis).
• Exp. in Cloud deployment, Development, or SRE (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Exp. w/ Test-driven development (TDD).
• Ability to document Technical requirements & Specifications.
• Ability to Speak & Write in English fluently & idiomatically. TOEIC >600 or equivalent certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exp. w/ Real-time or Messaging protocols, such as WebSocket & MQTT.
• Exp. w/ AI Coding Tools (e.g. Gemini CLI, Antigravity) and integrating them w/ MCP or Skills to Automate and Test workflows.
• Exp. in Raspberry Pi or other Single-board Computer (SBC) development & HW integration.
• Understanding of Android Application Development & Tools (ADB, Android Studio).
• Exp. working collaboratively in Cross-functional & Cross-regional teams.

Other qualifications

• Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English). Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.
• Working location: may adjust to Banqiao - Tpark (Taipei Far Eastern Telecom Park) per Google's request
• Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
