Job Purpose

The Market Validation & Test Sr. Analyst is responsible for identifying potential concerns with PS&P products in the market through detailed data analysis while also supporting essential administrative and operational functions of the Market Quality Dept. This role helps limit negative impacts to AHM PS&P business (warranty costs, sales interruptions, brand reputation) and ensures smooth daily operations for associates and leadership.

Key Accountabilities

  • Independently develops model reports for assigned models through complex analysis of warranty claims, customer relations contacts, techline reports, and field quality data. Provides monthly reports identifying trends in occurrence and cost of defects to quantify significance of market issues.
  • Manage existing Power BI dashboards and begin new build responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Operations Unit to publish monthly quality reports illustrating the condition of AHM PSP quality.
  • Monitor the market of assigned models daily as part of the market monitoring team. Provide data to prioritize issues, collaborate to select issues for promotion to Technical Analysis, and participate in daily quality priority meetings with concise summaries of priority issues.
  • Support market quality investigations of assigned issues. Collaborate with theme leaders to identify root cause and countermeasures for market issues.
  • Maintain accurate project, administrative, and departmental documentation and records in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Create and manage individual work schedules to ensure deadlines are met. Communicate activity status and participate in unit/department meetings, discussions, and events.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth Market Quality operations, including office condition management, equipment coordination (computers, vehicles, tools, supplies), security/access requests, confidentiality and safety compliance audits, and shipping/receiving support for Market Analysis and Quality Analysis departments.

Minimum Experience

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, preferably within mobility, automotive, or powersports industries.
  • Proven ability to compile, analyze, and interpret complex datasets, including work similar to market quality investigations, with clear quantitative assessment of issue scope and severity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in building, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards, including data modelling, report automation, and performance tuning.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, database management, data lake environments, and DAX for advanced calculations and data transformations.

  • Competent in written and oral communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to create and manage schedules and prioritize workload.
  • Strong PC skills, including Power BI and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to generate reports and documents detailing technical issues for diverse audiences, including SAP, CICS mainframe, Business Objects and FQS3 systems.
  • Leverages AI technologies to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Multi-tasking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to operate with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to interact effectively with staff, management, suppliers, and dealers.
