Data Analyst

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Data Analyst with strong analytical and applied machine learning capabilities who can turn data into actionable insights and simple predictive solutions that drive business decisions. This role is not just about reporting, it is about understanding business problems, analyzing data end-to-end, and building practical models that improve decision making speed and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Insights

• Perform end-to-end data analysis to answer business questions.
• Identify trends, patterns, and key drivers behind business performance.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Conduct root cause analysis to support better decision-making.

Reporting & Dashboarding

• Build and maintain dashboards and KPI tracking using BI tools.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity of business metrics.
• Automate recurring reporting processes where possible.
• Support leadership with reliable, timely reporting.

Data Preparation & Exploration

• Extract, clean, and transform data using SQL and Python.
• Work with large datasets to ensure data is analysis-ready.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover opportunities and issues.

Applied Machine Learning

• Build basic predictive models for business use cases such as: Forecasting, Segmentation, and Classification (e.g., behavior prediction).
• Perform feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Work with the Data Lead to improve and operationalize models.
• Focus on real world application, not research or complex algorithm development.

Collaboration & Problem Solving

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs.
• Translate problems into structured analytical or ML solutions.
• Present insights in a simple, clear, and decision ready format.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and deep dive investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, BI, or analytics roles.
• Strong SQL skills and good Python proficiency.
• Familiar with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Exposure or strong interest in machine learning / predictive analytics.
