ROLE PURPOSE

The Data Analyst is responsible for extracting, preparing, validating and delivering accurate data and reporting that enables the Finance team to make sound and timely decisions.


The Data Analyst acts as the day-to-day data support for Finance, sourcing information from Tableau, corporate databases, data warehouses and other internal systems, and transforming it into clear, reliable and actionable outputs. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst who is comfortable working with large volumes of financial and operational data and takes ownership of data accuracy.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Extract, consolidate and prepare data from multiple sources, including Tableau, SQL databases, data warehouses and other internal systems.
  • Build, maintain and automate recurring reports and dashboards to support monthly close, forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from Finance stakeholders, delivering accurate outputs within agreed timelines.
  • Validate, clean and reconcile data to ensure integrity, consistency and completeness.
  • Support the tean on large analytical projects, contributing to data preparation and preliminary analysis.
  • Document data sources, queries, definitions and reporting logic to ensure transparency and repeatability.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and data flows.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Data and other teams to translate business requirements into reliable data deliverables.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize under deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills, including with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, reliable and collaborative, with a willingness to learn.


Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Tableau or a comparable BI tool, such as Power BI.
  • Solid SQL skills and confidence querying relational databases and data warehouses.
  • Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups and complex formulas.
  • Good understanding of data preparation, cleaning and reconciliation techniques.
  • Familiarity with basic financial and business reporting concepts, including P&L, KPIs and variance analysis.


Nice to have:

  • Exposure to Python for data manipulation or ETL tools.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, forecasting or budgeting cycles.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services or another high-volume data environment.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative or business-related field, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or similar.


1–3 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence or Reporting role, ideally with exposure to Finance or a data-intensive environment.

Working proficiency in English. Spanish is a plus.
