Working closely with the Business Intelligence Manager, the Senior BI Analyst will play a key role in data integration, performance optimization, and report development while ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all analytics outputs. In addition, this role is expected to conduct proactive business analysis—identifying trends, surfacing operational insights, and providing data-driven recommendations to support leadership decisions. This is a greenfield opportunity for someone eager to build from the ground up, take ownership of BI assets, and grow their skills alongside an expanding data platform that includes Azure and Databricks.

Your Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable Power BI semantic models including star schemas, relationships, and reusable DAX measures that serve as the foundation for reporting and analysis.
- Develop and maintain production-quality Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver clear, accurate, and meaningful insights.
- Write complex DAX calculations to create dynamic and interactive analytics solutions.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
- Source, connect, and integrate data from multiple systems and platforms to support reporting and analytical needs.
- Automate data refreshes and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all BI assets and reporting outputs.
- Identify gaps in reporting and recommend enhancements to better support evolving business needs.
- Design and deliver ad hoc reports based on evolving business requirements and specific queries.
- Conduct business analysis to identify performance trends, operational patterns, and opportunities for improvement, translating data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and department stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business units to gather analytical requirements, understand operational goals, and deliver insights that support strategic planning and performance monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Power BI, DAX, and SQL.
- Experience working with data warehouses, data visualization, and large datasets.
- Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
- Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
- Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
- May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
- Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.
