Senior Data and Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data and Systems Engineer to support digital integration and operational performance across renewable energy assets, including renewable natural gas and landfill gas facilities.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, data systems, and automation, helping improve plant performance, reliability, and decision-making through better data visibility and system integration.

What You Will Do

• Integrate and optimize data systems across plant operations, including SCADA and asset management platforms
• Develop Python-based automation to streamline reporting and operational workflows
• Build dashboards and visualization tools using Grafana, Ignition, or similar platforms
• Improve asset data quality within systems like Maximo or other EAM platforms
• Support onboarding of new energy assets from construction into steady-state operations
• Partner with engineering, operations, IT, and data teams to enhance system connectivity and reporting
• Support predictive maintenance and analytics initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 4+ years of experience in engineering, data systems, or industrial environments
• Experience working with Python for automation or data processing
• Experience with SCADA systems or industrial data environments
• Strong understanding of data integration and system workflows

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Maximo or other asset management systems
• Experience with Grafana, Ignition, or similar dashboard tools
• Background in energy, utilities, or industrial environments
• Exposure to predictive analytics or AI use cases

• Mix of office and site-based work depending on project needs
• Collaboration across technical and operational teams
• Exposure to large-scale infrastructure and renewable energy assets

Salary: $125,000-$150,000
