Project Overview:

Our client is a $2.5B global B2B distributor building a new data platform from scratch on Google Cloud Platform. Core stack is BigQuery and Dataform, with a semantic layer in progress. The goal is to move ETL and transformation logic out of the legacy BI tool (Qlik) into GCP for better scalability and governance.


Requirements:

  • Fluent English and effective communication skills within cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on experience with GCP, specifically BigQuery and Dataform
  • Strong ETL pipeline design and development
  • Experience building/contributing to a semantic layer
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews


Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines on GCP, migrating transformation logic out of Qlik
  • Contribute to the BigQuery data warehouse and Dataform transformations
  • Support development of the semantic layer
