Currently, for the new Seargin project we are looking for a senior Data Engineer to design and build the Snowflake data platform and the pipelines and data layers that power the client's web application.


Location: Poland

Employment Type: contract

FTE: full-time

Working mode: remote

Start: ASAP


Responsibilities:

  • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines on Snowflake.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Create data layers and prepare API / data structures for the front-end (UI).
  • Optimize query performance and ensure data quality, performance, and scalability.
  • Implement and manage data contracts; apply CI/CD to data workloads.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and application team.


Must have:

  • Snowflake (advanced).
  • Expert SQL and Python (PySpark).
  • Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with Spark / Databricks.
  • API integration and JSON / data contracts.
  • CI/CD for data; cloud (AWS preferred).
  • Data product thinking.
  • Experience with data warehousing / lakehouse concepts (e.g. Delta Lake).


Nice to have:

  • Data governance tooling, AWS Certifications
  • Azure DevOps / Git-based CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience with the Azure data stack: Azure Data Factory, -Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage.
