About the Company



We're currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a high-performing team delivering large-scale data solutions for a major enterprise programme.



About the Role



This is an opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, build scalable data pipelines, and play a key role in transforming how data is used across the business.



Responsibilities



  • Designing, developing and maintaining robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Building scalable data solutions using modern cloud platforms.
  • Working closely with Data Architects, Data Scientists and Business Analysts to deliver high-quality data products.
  • Optimising data storage, performance and reliability across large datasets.
  • Implementing data quality, governance and security best practices.
  • Supporting the migration of legacy data platforms into modern cloud environments.



Qualifications



  • Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Experience building data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Airflow or similar.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills.



Required Skills



  • Microsoft Azure certifications.
  • Experience with Spark or PySpark.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code exposure.
  • Experience within Financial Services, Government or Consulting environments.
