Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Python and be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures. This role is critical in ensuring the availability and reliability of data for analytics and business intelligence purposes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Optimize data workflows and ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
• Work with cloud-based data storage solutions and ensure data security and compliance.
• Document data processes and maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding data availability and usage.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering or cloud technologies are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python, with a focus on data engineering frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
