Salesforce Data and Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design and build the data infrastructure and integration services powering the company CRM platform. This role will focus on building scalable ETL pipelines, APIs, and AI-ready data models using AWS. The platform ingests and processes large datasets from insurance carriers and financial platforms, generating insights that surface directly in Salesforce workflows. You will work closely with our Salesforce engineering team to ensure reliable, scalable integrations across the company ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Data Platform Development

• Design and maintain scalable ETL pipelines ingesting carrier and financial data
• Build data models supporting advisor insights and analytics
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance
• Manage large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets
• Orchestrated end-to-end metadata and data migration between Salesforce instances using SFDX CLI and REST APIs, resolving foreign key reconciliation and complex picklist transformations with zero business downtime
• Architect and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and improve team velocity
• 5+ years Salesforce experience

API & Integration Development

• Design and build secure APIs for integrations with Salesforce and external partners
• Develop services that allow company CRM to integrate with insurance carriers, financial platforms, and internal systems
• Implement authentication, security, and monitoring for platform APIs
• Optimize API performance and reliability for high-volume data processing

AWS Platform Engineering

• Build and maintain serverless data services using AWS
• Develop processing pipelines using services such as Lambda, S3, and event-driven architecture
• Optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability
• Monitor and maintain data platform performance

AI & Intelligence Enablement

• Support development of AI-driven advisor insights
• Design data models that enable predictive analytics and opportunity detection
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to operationalize insights

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in data engineering or backend platform engineering
• Strong experience with Python and SQL
• Experience building ETL pipelines and data processing systems
• Experience developing REST APIs or integration services
• Experience with AWS infrastructure and serverless architecture
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data quality practices
• Proficiency in Git and experience with industry-standard version control workflows

Preferred Skills

• Experience with machine learning or AI-enabled systems
• Experience with data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
• Experience in integrating with Salesforce platforms
• Experience working with financial services or insurance data
• Experience building partner-facing APIs
