Cloud Data and AI Engineer

We are working with a leading German consultancy that empowers businesses to leverage modern data and AI platforms in the cloud. They are known for their clean engineering, quality focus, and pragmatic approach to building scalable, maintainable, and productive solutions.

The Role

• Develop modern data and AI solutions based on Databricks
• Build robust batch and streaming pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark
• Contribute to Lakehouse architectures for analytics, ML, and GenAI use cases
• Utilize key Databricks components like Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, MLflow, Model Serving, and Vector Search
• Support the implementation and evolution of ML, LLM, and GenAI use cases
• Work on topics such as serving, retrieval, evaluation, monitoring, and governance for AI applications

What You'll Need

• Practical experience in Data Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, AI Engineering, or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, and PySpark
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (Azure or AWS preferred)
• Experience building or developing modern data platforms in the cloud
• Understanding of modern AI/LLM concepts such as RAG, Retrieval, Evaluation, Serving, and productive GenAI applications
• Proficiency with Git; familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
