Data Analytics Engineer (Backend + BI)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer who can bridge backend data systems and data analytics. The role involves building analytics-ready datasets, developing data pipelines, automating workflows, creating dashboards, and enabling faster business insights through scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand database schemas, data structures, backend systems, and application architecture to support reporting and analytics requirements.
• Design, develop, and optimize analytics datasets, reporting tables, SQL queries, views, and materialized views.
• Work with APIs, cloud storage, and multiple data sources to build reliable and scalable analytics solutions.
• Develop Python-based scripts and data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, automation, validation, and reporting.
• Set up and manage automation workflows, scheduled jobs (CRON jobs), data refreshes, and process configurations.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs using BI tools such as Metabase, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and convert business requirements into data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance, accuracy, and scalability across analytics and reporting systems.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL preferred), including schema understanding, query optimization, data modelling, reporting layer creation, views, and materialized views.
• Understanding of backend development concepts, system integrations, APIs, JSON data structures, and data architecture.
• Experience with APIs, ETL processes, cloud-based data management
• Strong programming skills in Python for scripting, automation, data processing, workflow development, and analytics applications.
• Familiarity with automation frameworks, CRON jobs, scheduling mechanisms, and workflow orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with BI and dashboarding tools such as Metabase, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
• AI literacy with practical understanding of AI tools, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted productivity workflows.
• Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification:

B.E./ B.Tech/ M.Tech/ BCA/ MCA/ M.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines
