Role Title: Data Engineer

Requirements Gathering And Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical and data solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

Data Understanding and Mapping

• Work closely with source data teams to understand data definitions, relationships, and lineage.
• Map business requirements to appropriate data sources to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.

Documentation

• Prepare clear and detailed functional specifications and technical documentation.
• Maintain documentation for data pipelines, transformations, and reporting processes.

Testing and Validation

• Support testing activities by developing test plans and validating that implemented solutions meet business requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.

Communication and Collaboration

• Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
• Participate in project planning, status discussions, and implementation activities.

Industry Knowledge

• Apply domain knowledge in mortgage creditor insurance or financial services to align data solutions with business needs.

Technical Skills And Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data querying, processing, and analysis.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, data governance, and data quality practices.
• Experience working with Azure cloud-based data solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
