YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Databricks Expert – Data Engineer to join our Data & AI division.

You will work on innovative projects related to data platforms and analytics, supporting clients in the design, development, and optimization of cloud-native solutions based on Databricks, Apache Spark, and leading hyperscalers.

You will have the opportunity to work with modern Lakehouse architectures, contributing to the development of scalable and high-performance data pipelines, in both batch and real-time environments.

Your main activities will include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, PySpark, and SQL
• Developing Lakehouse architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
• Managing data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and loading processes
• Optimizing Databricks job and workflow performance
• Collaborating with Data Architects, Data Scientists, and business teams
• Developing cloud-based data solutions (preferably Azure, also AWS or GCP)
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and documenting data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines on Databricks
• Implement Lakehouse architectures
• Optimize data flow performance
• Manage data ingestion and transformation processes
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable solutions
• Monitor and troubleshoot data platforms
• Contribute to cloud-native projects on hyperscalers

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in Data Engineering or Databricks projects
• Degree in STEM disciplines (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL
• Familiarity with data pipeline concepts, batch and real-time processing
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (preferably Azure, otherwise AWS or GCP)
• Knowledge of data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or similar)
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and Agile methodologies
• Good command of the English language

PLUS

• Experience with Databricks Serverless
• Knowledge of Databricks Lakeflow and Lakebase
• Familiarity with Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Unity Catalog, MLflow, or Databricks Workflows
• Databricks or cloud certifications
• Experience with streaming pipelines
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

WHAT WE OFFER

The compensation package includes a gross annual salary between €32,000 and €40,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The final offer will be based on the candidate’s experience.
