The Director, Experimentation & BI will combine strong analytical leadership, pricing acumen, and experimentation discipline along with business intelligence expertise, to ensure pricing decisions are supported by reliable data, clear insights, and rigorous measurement. This role will partner closely with pricing strategy, revenue management, data science, data engineering, digital product, finance, and business stakeholders to improve visibility, accelerate learning, and quantify the impact of pricing initiatives across the global business.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Pricing Experimentation
- Own the A/B testing process for global pricing initiatives, including test design, measurement methodology, performance tracking, and final readouts.
- Partner with pricing strategy, data science, digital product, and business teams to define hypotheses, success metrics, test cells, measurement windows, and decision criteria.
- Ensure global pricing tests are designed with appropriate rigor, including clear control/test structures, sample size considerations, KPI alignment, and risk mitigation.
- Develop standardized experimentation frameworks, templates, and governance processes to improve consistency and scalability across global pricing tests.
- Own measurement framework for global pricing tests, ensuring each initiative has clearly defined KPIs, success criteria, guard rail metrics, measurement windows and readout standards.
- Lead analysis of test results, including revenue impact, conversion impact, average order value, product mix shifts, cannibalization risk, and customer behavior changes.
- Develop statistically sound test readouts that elevate significance, confidence levels, sample size incrementality, cannibalization risk, and potential impacts across tested and non tested segments.
- Communicate test results and recommendations to senior leaders in a clear, concise, and decision-oriented manner.
- Lead the Business Intelligence team responsible for reporting, dashboards, recurring analysis, and performance insights supporting Global Pricing and Revenue Management.
- Establish scalable reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into pricing performance, revenue trends, product mix, demand patterns, and key business drivers.
- Develop executive-ready dashboards, reporting packages, and analytical tools that translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and usability across stakeholder groups by establishing clear definitions, governance, and quality control processes.
- Partner with pricing leaders and business stakeholders to identify reporting gaps, prioritize analytical needs, and build a roadmap for BI enhancements.
- Create a high-performing BI operating model that balances recurring reporting, proactive insights, and ad hoc stakeholder support
- Lead, coach, and develop BI and analytics team members, fostering a culture of ownership, curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a key thought partner to the VP, Global Revenue Science and broader pricing leadership team on reporting strategy, measurement priorities, and analytical best practices.
- Collaborate with data engineering, data science, D&T, finance, pricing strategy, and business teams to improve data availability, reporting infrastructure, and analytical scalability.
- Champion Experimentation and BI best practices across the organization, ensuring insights are accurate, accessible, and actionable.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting, improve stakeholder self-service, and increase the speed and quality of decision-making.
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships and influence stakeholders through clear communication, structured problem-solving, and credible analysis.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with emphasis in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, MBA, or related field preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, experimentation, pricing analytics, revenue management, financial analysis, or a related analytical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading analytical team members responsible for reporting, dashboarding, business intelligence, experimentation, or decision-support analytics.
- Demonstrated experience designing, measuring, and interpreting A/B tests, including hypothesis development, KPI definition, control/test structure, statistical significance, guardrail metrics, and post-test recommendations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights, business implications, and actionable recommendations.
