Data Engineer (Python + GCP + French)

We are looking for a Data Engineer (Python + GCP + French B2) to join our team (Hybrid – Porto or Lisbon)

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms using Python and Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to support business and analytical requirements;
• Develop and manage data solutions using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage;
• Implement workflow orchestration and automation using Airflow / Cloud Composer;
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, testing and validation processes are in place;

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable cloud-native data solutions;

• Support CI/CD implementation and best practices for data engineering projects.

What you will need to bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer;
• Strong proficiency in Python development and data engineering best practices;
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub and Cloud Storage;
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data models;

• Knowledge of Airflow / Cloud Composer for workflow orchestration;

• Experience with data quality, monitoring, testing and validation processes;

• French proficiency at B2 level or higher (mandatory);

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively;

• Excellent communication skills and experience working in Agile environments.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Control-M;

• Knowledge of Spark, Databricks or other distributed data processing frameworks;

• Experience with Kafka or streaming data solutions;

• Knowledge of BI tools such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI;

• Google Cloud certifications.
