Job Summary
The College of Arts and Sciences’ Biology Department is seeking a Senior Data Research Analyst.
This position is located in Lexington, Kentucky.
This position will oversee and conduct the conversion of data into meaningful insights that will lead to informed analytical decisions for state partners and researchers, investigators, and senior data analysts to develop complex analytical designs.
Responsibilities include:
- diagnosing, validating, and improving performance of models over time
- providing leadership and technical support to junior analysts
- developing logical and conceptual data flows that support and guide appropriate and effective use of the data
- understanding technical specification, functions, and business requirements
- handling multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under tight timelines.
Other responsibilities include:
- performing data conversions
- writing code
- identifying relevant trends
- preparing reports & visualizations
- developing dashboards
