We’re expanding our software organization and seeking a Database Engineer who is passionate about building reliable, high‑performance systems that power mission‑critical healthcare applications. As a key contributor to our engineering team, you’ll design, optimize, and strengthen the databases that support our nationwide life‑safety solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and stakeholders to model data structures, improve performance, enhance ETL and data warehouse workflows, and ensure best‑in‑class database security and reliability. Your expertise will help advance our long‑term vision of achieving Zero Downtime Deployment for the 24/7 systems our customers depend on.
What You'll Do
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum teams, and stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions
- Lead data modeling efforts and guide teams in database design
- Optimize performance across queries, indexing, and stored procedures
- Develop and enhance ETL and data warehouse processes
- Apply and uphold database security best practices
- Assist engineers learning to develop stored procedures
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation
- Support field teams with database‑related issues
- Contribute to business continuity planning and testing
- 2-5 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (data modelling, T-SQL development, etc.)
- 1+ years of SQL Server AlwaysOn configuration/management
- 1-3 years of SQL Server Integration Services development
