Solution Architect, Customer Data and MarTech | Location: Houston, TX | Direct Hire | Pay Range: $150,000-$170,000Compelling Opening ParagraphThe Solution Architect, Customer Data and MarTech, specializes in designing and implementing advanced customer data ecosystems and marketing technology architectures within complex, high-volume data environments. This role focuses on integrating and optimizing platforms such as CDPs, Customer Master Data, personalization engines, and analytics solutions to enable scalable, privacy-compliant customer engagement strategies. It offers an opportunity to lead innovative initiatives across marketing and data platforms in a dynamic, enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Architects and delivers comprehensive solution architectures for customer data platforms, Customer 360, and marketing automation ecosystems.
- Designs and establishes target-state architecture for data mastering, activation, and analytics, ensuring clear separation of concerns.
- Ensures seamless integration between MarTech platforms, AdTech tools, data lakes, warehouses, and content management systems.
- Defines and governs identity resolution strategies, including enterprise customer ID and privacy compliance frameworks.
- Architects real-time and batch decisioning frameworks to support personalization, experimentation, and ML-driven customer engagement.
- Develops standards for data flows, identity management, and content governance across platforms.
- Enables activation of first-party data for paid media, Retail Media Networks, and audience monetization efforts.
- Evaluates and recommends MarTech and AdTech platforms, including build vs. buy decisions and vendor assessments.
- Stays ahead of industry trends in AI, GenAI, and analytics, recommending innovative solutions to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Serves as design authority for customer data and marketing technology, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, IT, Data Science, and vendors to align on roadmaps and deliver scalable, reusable solutions.
- 8+ years of experience in customer data, data engineering, or MarTech domains.
- Proven expertise with Customer Data Platforms, Customer Data Warehouse, Customer Master Data, and Customer 360 solutions.
- Extensive experience with identity resolution strategies, including first-party, hybrid, and third-party identity graphs.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, Braze, HubSpot, or similar.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, and familiarity with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, consent management, and data lineage frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with AI/GenAI, automation, and operationalizing ML models in customer workflows.
- Knowledge of paid media platforms, attribution frameworks, and Retail Media Networks.
- Familiarity with data lakes, Lakehouse architectures, and unstructured data management.
- Experience supporting high-volume, high-velocity data ingestion architectures.
- Exposure to AI-driven engagement and automation tools.
