- Understand the needs of various Beacon departments and how the various HDI tools can be utilized to meet those needs.
- Utilize data engineering methodologies to pull complex data to support loading data into HDI.
- Develop advanced analyses and ETL (extract/transform/load) processes with various tools.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of health care for individuals and populations across the continuum of care through analytics solutions.
- Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art/industry relevant tools, techniques, and equipment.
- Work closely with executives, leadership, managers, service line leaders and others to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting and success of assigned projects.
- Develop and incorporate service line clinical, quality, and operational reports and databases utilized by leadership for insight generation.
- Leverage and contribute to the evolution of standards for high quality documentation of data definitions, data transformations and processes to ensure data transparency, governance, and security.
- Define, document and maintain integration standards such as naming conventions and coding standards.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Completing other job-related assignments and special projects as directed.
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of healthcare systems and data exchange standards.
- Familiarity with relevant programming languages and technologies.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Hybrid working environment (remote and onsite in Mishawaka, IN).
- Must be effective in a fast-paced, quality focused, multi-priority environment requiring the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines.
- May experience some mental/visual fatigue due to continued use of computer equipment.
