Job Title: Senior SQL Analyst / Lead System Analyst

Location: Hybrid - Honolulu, HI (1-2 days onsite)

Duration: Direct placement or Contract to Hire


Summary:

We are seeking a Lead System Analyst who'll be responsible for developing files, databases, and reports for analytical studies on healthcare services and provider negotiations; for managing information and reporting corporate strategies. Department Lead for the Financial Division on the Corporate Data Council. The ideal candidate has strong SQL and data analytics experience, excellent communication skills, and preferably a background in healthcare, claims, or health insurance.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects supporting healthcare operations, reimbursement initiatives, and corporate strategies
  • Manage project timelines, gather business requirements, perform cost-benefit analyses, and ensure successful project delivery
  • Develop and maintain SQL reports, databases, and reporting tools to analyze financial, clinical, and operational data
  • Conduct data research, validation, and analysis to provide actionable insights and support business decisions
  • Evaluate, improve, and automate data systems, reporting processes, and workflows while ensuring data quality and governance
  • Collaborate with executives, business partners, and technical teams to deliver reporting solutions and strategic initiatives
  • Mentor and train analysts on data, reporting, systems, and best practices
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong SQL skills with experience creating reports, data extracts, and performing data analysis
  • Proficiency in problem solving and data collection, analysis, and interpretation
  • Knowledge of data analytics & process improvement
  • Knowledge of data governance principles
  • Knowledge of basic relevant statistical analyses
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred: Healthcare/health insurance experience, MicroStrategy, QNXT, and knowledge of claims or reimbursement processes
