You can look forward to
- Further development of the actuarial modelling applications used within the Hannover Re Group worldwide
- Maintenance and support of existing actuarial databases, applications and tools in close collaboration with your team
- Design and development of future actuarial systems, taking into account customer and reporting requirements as well as (inter)national accounting standards for insurance contracts
- Delivery of training sessions for users on the actuarial system landscape
- Opportunities to contribute ideas, shape solutions and continuously improve processes
- Master's degree in mathematics or computer science
- Professional experience in the field of software or database development
- Very good knowledge of a higher programming language (e.g. C#, C++, Java) or SQL (e.g. T-SQL, PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL)
- Experience with common software design principles and CI/CD
- Business fluent English and conversational German
- Willingness to undergo actuarial training (DAV) or already completed or at an advanced stage
- A strong understanding of emerging technologies and trends in software development, databases and actuarial systems, and know how to apply them effectively to create innovative solutions
- Enjoy working in a team, proactively share your knowledge and foster open, constructive collaboration with colleagues as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Keep a clear overview even in complex environments, think analytically and develop structured, sustainable solutions
