YOUR ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Analytics Engineer to join our Operations Department on a 12-month fixed-term contract as part of a Data Transformation Program. This role involves migrating our analytics stack from Power BI to a modern GCP-based platform (dbt, BigQuery, Looker). You will collect, analyze, and validate complex Operational and Manufacturing data, develop Looker visualizations, and translate legacy data into future-ready tools to provide crucial business insights and drive continuous improvement. A proactive, analytical, and communicative approach is essential.
PLAYING YOUR PART
- Data Reporting & Engineering Support: contribute to the dbt/Looker migration, building BigQuery data models, developing Looker Explores, and delivering dashboards. Design and enhance interactive dashboards, translating complex Manufacturing and Operations data into actionable insights. Responsible for data collection, cleaning, validation, and modelling.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Strategic Impact: partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, deliver high-quality solutions, and contribute to the data analytics project roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Data Quality & Governance: pphold rigorous standards for data accuracy, integrity, and governance. Implement robust data validation, document reporting logic and definitions, and ensure adherence to data policies and legislation.
- Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement: identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement through data-driven analysis. Develop strategies to optimise operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency, fostering continuous improvement.
- Data Storytelling & Communication: effectively communicate complex data findings and insights to diverse audiences via compelling visualisations and clear narratives, enabling informed, data-driven decisions.
- Master’s degree in Data, Engineering, Business Intelligence, or equivalent experience
- Good understanding of reporting and analytics processes; Supply Chain and, or Manufacturing
- Proficiency in advanced analytics tools (e.g. Looker, SQL, Data modelling, BigQuery, Jira, PowerBi..)
- Ownership mindset, stakeholder management, clear communication, adaptability
- Excellent communication skills in English and French
