SCC Data Services unit is looking for a Data Warehouse Developer to join our development team. As part of our team, you will contribute to the design, development and implementation of modern Data Warehouse, Lakehouse and BI solutions for our customers, leveraging both cloud and on-premises technologies, with a primary focus on the Microsoft cloud technology stack, especially Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric.

We deliver end-to-end Data and Business Intelligence services, covering the full lifecycle from data platform and DW/BI solution architecture to Data Warehouse development, data pipeline implementation and presentation layer development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Take part in implementing complex BI solutions for SCC customers
  • Design, implement, fine tune Azure Synapse or Fabric pipelines for big data.
  • Contribute to the design and development of modern Data Warehouse, Lakehouse and reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
  • Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows, notebooks, SQL and related Azure services.
  • Work with structured and semi-structured data sources, including relational databases, APIs, files and cloud storage.
  • Implement data ingestion, transformation, validation and loading processes using ELT/ETL best practices.
  • Develop and maintain data models, tables, views, stored procedures, semantic models and reusable data assets.
  • Support the implementation of data quality, data governance, metadata and lineage practices.
  • Work closely with our Data Architects as part of DW solution design and development
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline failures, performance issues and data quality problems.
  • Maintain technical documentation, reusable templates and data engineering knowledge assets.
  • Estimate effort for assigned development tasks and provide progress updates during delivery.



Skills & Experience:

  • Good knowledge of relational databases, SQL and database development concepts.
  • Practical experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ELT/ETL processes and data integration patterns.
  • Experience developing SQL queries, views, stored procedures and data transformation logic.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services and/or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Understanding of modern cloud data architecture concepts, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Delta/Parquet-based storage and data pipelines.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into data ingestion, transformation and modeling tasks.
  • Ability to adhere to coding standards and participate in peer code reviews
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle, version control, deployment and documentation practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Azure Data Stack (Synapse, ADF, Databricks).
  • Experience with scripting for advanced analytics.
  • Ability to create Power BI data models and use DAX expressions
