About the Role



The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining ETL data workflows from AWS S3 to Snowflake, ensuring high performance and scalability in data processing.



Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines supporting batch and real-time data processing.
  • Architect and implement enterprise-scale data warehousing solutions, with a strong focus on Snowflake.
  • Build and manage high availability (HA) and fault-tolerant data transformation pipelines.
  • Develop and optimize real-time event-driven data architectures using streaming technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (analytics, product, engineering) to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Implement data quality, governance, and observability practices across the data platform.
  • Optimize performance and cost efficiency across cloud-based data systems.
  • Contribute to platform evolution, including tooling, frameworks, and best practices.



Qualifications



  • Extensive experience (8 years +) as a Data Engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake (data modelling, performance tuning, ELT design).
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Proven experience building high availability and resilient data pipelines.
  • Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, streaming platforms).
  • Strong SQL and programming skills (e.g., Python, Scala, or similar).
  • Experience with orchestration and workflow tools (e.g., Airflow).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and large-scale data transformations.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code is a plus.
  • Experience building highly Observable solutions with Open Telemetry.



Preferred Skills



  • Experience with modern data stack tooling and ELT frameworks.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance in enterprise environments.
  • Exposure to data lakehouse architectures.
  • Experience working in fast-paced agile delivery environments.
