Join our team at kununu and become a vital part of our dynamic group of professionals. As a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d), you'll collaborate with fellow experts in the field and work closely with our team of data scientists to drive innovation and data-driven insights.

Your Tasks

• Own, maintain, and continuously evolve the kununu data warehouse and its end-to-end data integrations.
• Lead initiatives to extend our data platform capabilities and enable internal teams as well as external partners in their daily work.
• Define and drive standards for data quality, performance, reliability, scalability, and governance.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities and take ownership of solving them.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to deliver scalable and innovative data products.

Your Skills

• Extensive professional experience and strong expertise in Python, software engineering principles, algorithms, data structures, and development best practices.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of databases, data warehouse solutions, SQL, and ideally dbt.
• In-depth experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform, and at least one major cloud provider, preferably Google Cloud.
• A proven track record of successfully delivering ETL or ELT projects at scale.
• A strong engineering mindset with a focus on automation, testing, maintainability, observability, and production-ready code.
• The ability to identify technical trade-offs, improve existing systems, and drive pragmatic solutions.
• Excellent English communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The gross annual salary for this position ranges between €70,000 and €80,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
