Your Part of the Adventure

We are transforming the way the construction industry operates by integrating GenAI into our platform. As a Senior AI Engineer, you will join the Data Insights team and report directly to the Head of Data. You will be the architect behind the AI capabilities that amplify 12Build's core value. You won’t just build isolated fragments; you will design a shared AI architecture that can be securely utilized by all of our product teams.

What does this entail exactly?

• Hands-on Development: In this role, you will be hands-on responsible for developing an AI service utilized by our product teams. You will write robust code and build from the ground up.
• AI Features in Production: You will independently deploy critical features into production, ranging from automated data enrichment pipelines to real-time predictive models and advanced RAG systems for our platform features.
• Architecture & Multi-Model Routing: You will define the standards (such as observability, security, and cost) and implement smart multi-model routing between providers like Gemini and OpenAI.
• Knowledge Sharing & Tech Lead: You will share your knowledge and mentor your colleagues, though your primary focus remains on shipping high-quality AI features. You will ensure our systems are prepared for tomorrow's scale and lead the way by solving complex technical challenges directly in code.

Our Stack & Tools 🔨

Within our data team, we are continuously expanding our toolkit with the latest AI and cloud technologies. We work with, among other things:

• AI & LLMOps: Gemini, OpenAI, open-source models, Vector Stores, Prompt Management, and advanced RAG infrastructures.
• Data Platform & Processing: Databricks, AWS, PySpark, Python, and MySQL.
• Collaboration & Governance: Linear, Confluence, Slack, and robust CI/CD pipelines embedded with automated AI evaluations.

What We Expect from You

• Experience & Vision: An experienced AI / Software Engineer with a clear, multi-year vision for scaling and industrializing AI infrastructures. This is combined with a minimum of a Bachelor's or Master's degree (HBO/WO) working and thinking level.
• Tech Skills: Deep experience with Python, Databricks, PySpark, and setting up, orchestrating, and monitoring AI-related services in production environments.
• Technical Leader: You are decisive in your field and dare to take full technical responsibility.
• SaaS Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in data or software engineering, preferably within a growing SaaS environment.
