About The Role
In this role, you will contribute to building a modern Enterprise Data Platform for a large US-based healthcare provider serving thousands of hospitals worldwide. You will work on cloud-native data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, helping improve data quality, analytics efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform to support enterprise analytics use cases
- Take ownership of data engineering components that improve data quality, reliability, and performance across the platform
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into production-ready data solutions
- Develop and optimize batch and streaming pipelines using Dataflow and related GCP services
- Work with SQL-based data modeling and integrations across BigQuery, CloudSQL, and other data sources
- Support schema versioning and database changes using migration tools such as Liquibase or Flyway
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation using GitLab CI or similar tools
- Participate in proof-of-concept initiatives, platform optimization, and the adoption of modern data architectures such as data mesh or lakehouse
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a Java Software Engineer with a strong focus on Data Engineering
- 2+ years of practical work experience with Google Cloud Platform and services such as Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL
- Strong SQL skills and solid experience with databases, data integrations, and connectivity patterns
- Practical knowledge of schema migration tools such as Liquibase or Flyway
- Experience working with CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI
- Understanding of building and maintaining ETL or ELT data pipelines
- Python scripting skills and knowledge of modern data architectures are a plus
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level with the ability to communicate effectively in international teams
- Strong collaboration skills, ownership mindset, and readiness to work on enterprise-scale solutions
