Job Description:
Data Profiling & Analysis
- Profile large-scale banking datasets to identify anomalies, patterns, duplicates, and data gaps.
- Analyze source data structures across core banking, transactional, and risk systems.
- Define data quality metrics and thresholds in alignment with business requirements.
Rule Development & Cleansing
- Develop reusable data quality rules, mappings, and workflows using Informatica IDQ Developer.
- Design automated parsing, standardization, validation, and exception-handling routines.
- Deploy data quality scorecards and dashboards within the Informatica Analyst tool.
Governance & Regulatory Compliance
- Align data quality controls with banking frameworks such as BCBS 239, Basel III, AML, and KYC.
- Partner with Data Governance teams to maintain data lineage and update the corporate data glossary.
- Investigate data quality issues at the root cause by collaborating with upstream application owners.
Technical Skills
Core Toolset
- Informatica IDQ: Expert knowledge of IDQ Developer, Analyst, Profiling, and Rule Specifications.
- SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing complex queries, joins, and window functions.
- Power BI: Intermediate skills good to have.
- Databases: Strong experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or DB2.
Domain & Architecture
- Banking Domain: Familiarity with credit risk, retail banking operations, or financial reporting.
- Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data lineage, and data lake architectures.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Overall 12Years+ with 3+ years of dedicated data quality engineering experience, specifically within financial services
