For our client we are currently filling the following position:

Data Engineer (m/w/d) LookML/Looker

YOUR TASKS

  • Architecture Mastery: Proven experience in designing Hub-and-Spoke architectures (project imports, refinements) within Looker.
  • Looker Administration: Experience with Looker permissions, contentmanagement, and Looker API.
  • Hub-and-Spoke: Architect and maintain the central LookML Hub, defining core dimensions, measures, and base views to ensure a Single Source of Truth.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Provide architectural guidance and design support for BigQuery data structures to ensure they are optimized for the Looker Hub.
  • BI Standards: Define and implement coding standards for LookML, including modularization, version control (Git), and automated testing.

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in BI/analytics
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing Hub-and-Spoke architectures in Looker
  • Strong expertise in Looker (LookML, administration, permissions, content management, API)
  • Responsibility for building and maintaining a central LookML hub (“Single Source of Truth”)
  • Experience in modeling and optimizing BigQuery data structures for BI applications
  • Ability to define and enforce BI and LookML standards (modularization, version control with Git, testing)
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to provide architectural and design guidance
