Role Overview

The company is seeking a Senior Data Platform & Analytics Engineer to design, build, and scale core data infrastructure supporting analytics, machine learning, and business reporting. This role will focus on data ingestion, integrations, event tracking, data modeling, and enabling high-quality analytics across the organization.

The ideal candidate blends strong data engineering expertise with a solid understanding of analytics and business metrics, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and actionable for cross-functional stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows
  • Ingest and manage data from APIs, third-party systems, event tracking, and internal applications
  • Maintain and optimize cloud-based data platforms and warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar)
  • Develop data models and datasets to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases
  • Monitor data quality, pipeline performance, and system reliability
  • Implement and validate event tracking across web and mobile platforms
  • Translate business requirements and KPIs into data models and reporting solutions
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define metrics and data strategies
  • Build and maintain dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau
  • Contribute to overall data architecture and long-term platform scalability


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field
  • Strong SQL skills with experience building complex queries and data models
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration workflows
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks)
  • Experience with AWS and/or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with event tracking and analytics instrumentation
  • Strong understanding of digital product or eCommerce metrics (conversion, engagement, revenue, etc.)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau
  • Familiarity with analytics platforms like Google Analytics or similar


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data science or machine learning workflows
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • Experience with modern data tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran, Airbyte)
  • Exposure to personalization, recommendation systems, or AI-driven products
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
