WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
You will be joining an innovative application development team within SimCorp's Product Division. We provide a cloud native SaaS product built on Azure using modern development principles, technologies, and practices.
The product, Digital Engagement Platform (DEP) has been operational for 4 years and based in client feedback and our own experience we have begun to lift the product to the next level, modernizing architecture and tech stack so we can scale DEP for a much larger audience than we can today.
This is why we need you - to help design and build a new DEP 2.0 that can support the biggest clients, asset managers, across the globe.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Building and maintaining data pipelines – designing and implementing ELT processes integrating with various client systems to support the applications data needs.
- Ensuring data quality and reliability – to ensure consistency of data through its lifecycle
- Optimize data processing – continuously tune queries and data processing to improve speed, cost optimization, and efficiency as volumes grows.
- Work together with teammates and architect to define and refine the product architecture and roadmap – and find potential improvements to existing software.
- Data modelling – organize and map data and their relationships.
- Guide and support teammates to ensure the spread of data knowledge and experience more broadly in the team.
- Participate in support activities and client communication.
- Facilitate and work on the migration of our current data platform towards a more modern tool stack with high quality and maintainability.
You will be great for this position if you have some of the following proficiencies:
- Expert in Snowflake
- Expert in SQL
- Proficiency in dbt (data build tool) – for data manipulation, but also for test / data quality / governance
- Proficiency Airflow (Astronomer)
- Proficiency in Python
- Some proficiency in C# .NET can be helpful.
- Familiarity with Microsoft cloud data services, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Analysis services (The old tech stack).
- Cloud Data Warehouses, like
- Managing schema changes in existing deployments
- Managing temporal data / SCD Type 2
- Entitlements
- Manage the complexity of multiple clients and balance re-use vs customization
- Security first mindset, with knowledge on how to implement row level security etc.
- Agile development methodologies and DevOps / DataOps practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment. For example, automated DB validations and deployment of DB schema using DACPAC.

- Global hybrid work policy - We ask you to work 2 days a week from the office. If you choose you can work remotely the other days. Of course you are welcome at the office if that is your preference.
