Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team. Your work will be aligned with client needs to ensure project success.

In this role, you’ll design and optimize scalable data pipelines, enabling clients to harness the power of data for strategic decision-making.

Additionally, there are several databases associated with a monolithic rewrite, and we need skilled engineers to support those efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Data Integration: Consolidate structured and unstructured data into lakes and cloud warehouses.
• Data Transformation & Modeling: Optimize data models for analytics and BI.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and fix bottlenecks for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaboration: Partner with Data Architects, Data Scientists, and BAs to align goals.
• Governance & Security: Ensure compliance, data quality, and security standards.
• Innovation: Stay up to date with modern data engineering tools and cloud technologies.
• Database Support: Work with databases tied to monolithic rewrite efforts, ensuring smooth migration and modernization.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in data engineering.
• Technical Expertise:
• Strong skills in Python (3.6+) and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with data lakes and data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong knowledge of data governance and security.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
