About the company
We're working with one of Ireland's fastest-growing Data & AI consultancies. They're a Deloitte Fast 50 Top 15 company (two consecutive years), a Snowflake Elite Partner, and winners of the Snowflake 'UKI Services Accelerator Partner of The Year' award.
They deliver data, analytics, and AI projects across multiple industries. Unlike larger consulting firms, you won't be tied to one client — you'll work on diverse, challenging projects with cutting-edge technologies.
The role
As a Data Engineer, you'll take ownership of designing and implementing ETL solutions for clients. You'll work at the intersection of business requirements and technical execution, collaborating with stakeholders while building scalable data platforms using modern cloud technologies. You'll also explore opportunities to integrate AI into data solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and architect ETL pipelines and data warehouse solutions
- Implement data solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric
- Write optimised SQL and Python code for data transformation
- Work directly with clients to understand business needs and deliver solutions
- Apply data warehousing best practices (dimensional modelling, data quality, metadata management)
- Stay informed on emerging technologies including AI and LLMs
- Support junior team members and contribute to technical discussions
- Lead components of client projects from design through deployment
What we're looking for
Must have:
- 2-5 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, or a similar role
- Proven experience with at least one of: Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Strong SQL programming skills — you write complex queries confidently
- Solid Python experience for data transformation and automation
- Hands-on ETL development in a production environment
- Experience with data warehousing concepts (dimensional modelling, OLAP, star schemas)
- Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Sets you apart:
- Background in a consulting firm (Big 4, mid-market consultancy, or tech consultancy)
- Client-facing project delivery experience
- Data quality, metadata management, or data governance experience
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts or working with data scientists
We're also looking for someone who is:
- Curious and driven — you're always exploring new technologies
- A commercial thinker — you understand business problems, not just technical ones
- A confident communicator who's comfortable working directly with clients
- Collaborative and pragmatic — you work well in teams and make sensible decisions
- Adaptive and fast-moving — you thrive in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable with 3 days onsite in Dublin
Why join?
- Variety of clients and projects — no monotony, constant learning
- Work with Ireland's fastest-growing data consultancy
- Access to cutting-edge technologies (Snowflake Elite Partner status)
- Flat, collaborative structure with strong consulting culture
- Clear career progression with ambitious growth
- Exposure to AI, data innovation, and emerging tech
- Work across multiple industries and business domains
If you're a data engineer who enjoys solving real business problems and working directly with clients, we'd love to hear from you. Apply now to discuss your next move.
