Join Unity Bank as a Reporting Analyst - Data Warehouse and play a critical role in strengthening the bank’s data, reporting, and analytics capability. This is a key hands-on role for a technically strong data professional who can design and optimise data pipelines, improve reporting reliability, and deliver trusted insights that support regulatory obligations, operational performance, and executive decision-making. You will work across SQL, Azure, Power BI, and enterprise data platforms to help uplift data quality, governance, and automation in a regulated banking environment.

The opportunity

  • Support the design, build, and optimisation of SQL and Azure-based data pipelines, reporting assets, and data environments.
  • Deliver high-quality regulatory, operational, and management reporting that is accurate, timely, and audit ready.
  • Develop and improve ETL/ELT workflows using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and related Azure services.
  • Create Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models that support executive and business decision-making.
  • Improve data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance practices across critical banking datasets.
  • Partner with stakeholders across technology and the business to translate reporting and analytics requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting, strengthen controls, and improve the resilience of data processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in SQL development, database engineering, and data transformation in complex enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on expertise across Microsoft data technologies, including SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, and Azure data services.
  • Proven experience designing reporting and analytics solutions that support governance, operational performance, and regulatory outcomes.
  • Strong capability in data modelling, ETL/ELT design, automation, and cloud-based data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • A sound understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, lineage, and controlled access to enterprise data.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated environment will be highly regarded.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant Microsoft certifications will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with Python, Azure DevOps, Git platforms will be advantageous.
