Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Database Design & Architecture: Develop and maintain complex database structures, schemas, and models (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
- Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor, tune, and index databases for optimal speed and reliability, including query optimization.
- Automation & Infrastructure: Build and manage database infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and develop automation tools to minimize manual work and downtime.
- Production Support & Security: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents, manage database upgrades, and implement security measures, including database encryption and access control.
- Collaboration: Work with developers, DevOps, and data scientists to design efficient, scalable, and secure data solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years of experience can be substituted for a degree)
- Nine (9) Years of information technology experience
- Two (2) Years of managerial experience with DoD efforts
- Master of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Familiarity with the United States Navy preferred.
- Experience with NSWC Corona RS Division and NCTE
- Must have a current/active Secret Clearance.
- 10% travel anticipated.
- Work will require movement from ManTech Site to Government for client meetings and support functions.
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which involve delivering presentations.
