Leading Investment Bank - Finance Control & P&L Systems

A leading global investment bank is seeking a SQL Developer to join its Finance Technology team in Dublin. In this role, you’ll work on a business‑critical platform that supports daily P&L production for hundreds of Finance users across the globe.

You’ll engineer new SQL Server functionality, modernise development processes, and contribute to major technology upgrades as part of 2026 Finance transformation initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Build and optimise SQL Server components supporting P&L, Finance controls, and large‑scale data processing.
• Deliver new database features for 2026 transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with global teams (Dublin, London, India) on high‑priority enhancements.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile ways of working.
• Integrate Finance systems with upstream data sources and downstream reporting platforms.
• Contribute to an Agile team delivering under tight, business‑critical timelines.

Skills & Experience

• Strong SQL Server development skills (T‑SQL, schema design, performance optimisation).
• Solid understanding of data structures, OO design principles, and architectural patterns.
• Experience with APIs, ETL workflows, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern CI/CD tools.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with global stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex data‑driven problems.

Nice to Have

• Experience in investment banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with P&L processes or Finance control systems.
• Awareness of operational, compliance, or reputational risk in regulated environments.
