About Agoya

We achieve this through long-term partnerships, both with our clients and various consultancy firms, as well as through our own hubs (e.g. Agoya Morocco). As part of our growth, we’re looking to bring more consultants on board to help design and shape our clients’ future roadmaps and use-cases.

The role

As a Data Consultant at Agoya, you’ll contribute to a variety of client assignments. Depending on the project, you may work on modern data stacks, cloud infrastructure, ingestion pipelines, transformation layers, and BI/analytics enablement.

You’ll typically:

• Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines (batch and/or near real-time)
• Model and transform data to create reusable, well-documented datasets
• Contribute to data platform architecture decisions (security, scalability, cost, performance)
• Work closely with analytics engineers, data analysts, and stakeholders to translate needs into data products
• Improve monitoring, testing, and data quality practices
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and team rituals

What you’ll work with

• Cloud: GCP, Azure and/or AWS
• Data stack: SQL, Python, dbt
• Orchestration: Airflow / Azure Data Factory / other orchestrators
• Warehousing / lakehouse: Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Synapse, etc.
• Data integration: Fivetran, custom APIs, event streams, file-based ingestion
• Infrastructure-as-code: Terraform
• Dev practices: Git, CI/CD
• Observability: logging/monitoring, alerting, data tests

What we’re looking for

• Experience as a consultant and/or in client-facing data roles (discovery, alignment, delivery)
• Speak English and Dutch fluently (a must)
• Strong analytical thinking and communication: you can structure ambiguity and explain trade-offs clearly
• Solid data foundations: SQL + data modeling; ability to reason about data quality and reliability
• Comfortable navigating modern data platforms (and contributing hands-on when needed)
• A pragmatic mindset: you deliver value iteratively while keeping quality high
• Ownership: you follow through, raise risks early, and help teams make decisions

Nice to have:

• Experience with modern stacks (dbt, Airflow/ADF, Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks, Terraform)
• BI/semantic layer experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, semantic models)
• Security / governance awareness (RBAC, PII, GDPR)
