THE ROLE

A lot of companies say they are data-driven. What they usually mean is that they have data. There is a big difference. We are looking for someone who closes that gap.

We need a senior Observability Engineer to join our team at Festina Group Technology. You will turn raw telemetry into datasets people actually trust and make sure the right questions get answered fast. Working across product, backend and device teams from our office in Malmö.

The goal is simple. We go from “we have data” to “we can answer anything fast.” You are the person who makes that happen.

YOU WILL

• Build the core datasets that matter most: users, sessions, retention, funnels

• Define and maintain the semantic layer and metrics definitions so everyone works from the same source of truth

• Make self-service analytics real for the teams around you

• Build monitoring and alerting systems that catch problems before they become incidents

• Define the logging strategy across device, app and cloud

• Step in and support report creation when self-service is not enough

YOU BRING

• Strong experience with data pipelines and data modelling. SQL is something you genuinely enjoy

• Hands-on experience with observability or analytics tools like Looker, Grafana or Datadog

• Experience using AI to detect patterns and surface anomalies in data

• Comfort working across product, backend and device or firmware teams

• A problem-solving mindset. You debug without panic and explain without jargon
