We are seeking an experienced data engineer with a strong background in Data Engineering & technical expertise for IT business operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and reports that provide insights into the performance and efficiency of our IT organization. You will join a global team of high performing professionals to stand up a business intelligence capability that will enable us to analyze the business of IT from various facets including finances, people, work, technology, applications, and business capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that ingest, transform, and integrate data from disparate source systems.
- Build and optimize data models that support Data transformations and Engineering needs for the Business of IT.
- Create and deliver objects and dashboards that provide actionable insights into the performance and efficiency of our IT organization.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and data analysts to understand and define data requirements, metrics, and KPIs.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across data sources and reports.
- Research and evaluate new data sources, tools, and technologies to enhance our data model and analytics capabilities.
- Document and communicate data engineering and analytics processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Proficient in SQL and Python, and familiar with other programming languages.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in developing full-stack data frameworks, including ETL/ELT, data analysis, compute and storage, data pipelines, and orchestration.
- Must have hands-on experience in Cloud Architecture (Azure, GCP, AWS) and cloud-based databases ( Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift), as well as various data integration techniques (API, stream, file) using DBT, SQL/PySpark, and Python.
- Must have proven experience with RDBMS, SQL & NoSQL databases, Big data, Spark ,real-time streaming systems, unstructured data processing and real-time data pipelines.
- Must have experience in leading data engineering teams with an excellent understanding of business domains within the semiconductor industry along with planning and execution using Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban) within a DevSecOps model.
- Ability to Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written), including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to technologists.
