Job Description:

As a Data Engineer, you will gather data from multiple source systems, organize and process it, and prepare it for use across raw, integration, and presentation layers within our data platform. Your work will focus on building and maintaining reliable data pipelines and structures that make it easy for others in the company to access accurate and useful information. You’ll collaborate closely with BI and Business Data Analysts to understand their data needs and ensure the data is available, trustworthy, and well organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines across raw (ingestion), integration (normalized), and presentation (analytics-ready) layers on the AWS data platform, including monitoring pipeline health and ensuring data is up to date
• Implement and maintain data quality checks (e.g., validation rules, anomaly detection, source reconciliation) to ensure data accuracy and consistency across all layers.
• Support the Analytics team by building and maintaining dimensional datasets for reporting and visualization.
• Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies in collaboration with the Analytics team.
• Support business-driven analysis requests

Qualifications:

• Proficient in writing SQL and working with structured data
• Experience designing and building data pipelines for ingesting and preparing data from multiple source systems
• Understanding of batch processing, including how to handle incremental updates reliably
• Understanding of data modeling principles for analytics, including star schema and dimensional modeling.
• Careful and methodical approach to data quality and validation
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Nice To Have Skills:

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, especially AWS services like Redshift, Aurora, Glue, or S3.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools, particularly in the context of supporting analytics teams.
