Senior Data Engineer (Reporting/Visualization)

We’re partnering with an established data-driven organization in Boston that is looking to bring on a Senior Engineer to help scale and optimize their data reporting. This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) offering strong visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence data strategy.

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. You will work closely with data analysts, product teams, and leadership to ensure high-quality, accessible data across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL
• Design and optimize data models for performance and reliability
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices are followed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI or Tableau
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and modern data stack tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Exposure to real-time data processing or streaming technologies
