Senior Data Engineer

About the Opportunity Are you ready to drive enterprise-scale digital transformation? Our client is rapidly transforming into Southeast Asia and is looking for a highly strategic AI & Data Engineer. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between business strategy, data infrastructure, and machine learning, ensuring data is transformed into actionable insights and intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and support high-impact AI/ML and Generative AI use cases (e.g., dynamic pricing, algorithms, and automation).
• Own the end-to-end enterprise data architecture from data source to data warehouse/lakehouse.
• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch processing and near real-time streaming to support AI/LLM training and inference.
• Ensure the highest standards of data reliability, quality, and governance, while optimizing database design for performance and cost efficiency.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a high-performing technical team of data engineers, ML engineers, and analysts, establishing best practices for coding and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of relevant working experience required in Data Management or Data Engineering (experience in Retail or E-Commerce environments is highly advantageous).
• Expert proficiency in Python and query languages (SQL, Databricks SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Proven hands-on experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Databricks.
• Demonstrated track record in Generative AI and end-to-end AI product development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Legally entitled to work in Thailand.
• English and Thai are the main working languages
