Job Description:

Staff Data Engineer – Technical Lead, Data Platform

Lead the architecture. Shape the platform. Explore what's next.

We're looking for a hands-on Staff Data Engineer to help lead the evolution of a modern Snowflake-based data platform. This is a technical leadership role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges, mentoring others, and exploring how AI can improve engineering practices.

You'll influence architecture, drive engineering standards, and partner across product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions with real business impact.

No B2B identity experience? No problem. We have deep domain expertise on the team and are looking for exceptional engineering talent, leadership, and curiosity above all else.

What You'll Do

  • Lead architecture and technical design decisions across the platform.
  • Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and models using Python and Snowflake.
  • Drive engineering best practices, reliability, and performance improvements.
  • Mentor engineers and elevate technical excellence across the team.
  • Partner with stakeholders to solve complex business and data challenges.
  • Help evaluate and apply AI tools and emerging technologies to improve engineering workflows.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of experience building data platforms or software systems.
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Snowflake.
  • Experience designing scalable cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical best practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Curiosity about AI and how it can enhance software development and data platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Snowpark, Docker, or modern data application architectures.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, or compliance practices.
  • Experience working with large-scale customer, marketing, or analytics data.

Why Join Us?

  • Own meaningful technical decisions that shape the platform's future.
  • Work with modern technologies including Snowflake, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Grow into the B2B identity space with support from experienced domain experts.
  • Collaborate with a highly skilled team that values innovation, mentorship, and continuous learning.

If you're a technical leader who loves building scalable systems, mentoring others, and exploring what's possible with AI, we'd love to talk.
