ARE YOU READY to step into the New Era (NewRA) of AI-driven banking?

At Accenture Newra AI Hub, we are not just building technology, we are redefining how banking operates. As part of our strategic collaboration with Piraeus, Newra is designed to responsibly embed AI at the core of its business, moving beyond experimentation to real-world impact at scale. Built to make a real difference, Newra reflects our belief that AI creates value only when it genuinely improves people’s lives.

You will work on advanced AI solutions that span the full spectrum of the bank -from core banking systems to customer experience- simplifying complexity, automating critical processes and delivering measurable results where they matter most.

Joining Newra means becoming part of a high-performing team of innovators at the beginning of a major reinvention. This is a space for people who approach AI with depth, discipline and purpose. You will collaborate across disciplines, develop future-proof skills, and help turn technology into real-world transformation.

As a Data Engineer, you’ll build the data infrastructure that powers next-generation AI, analytics, and digital products, turning raw, complex data into trusted, reusable, and production-ready assets. You’ll design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, shape well-modelled data products, and embed quality checks that make data accurate, reliable, and easy to use. You'll think like an engineer and an analyst, building pipelines that are not only fast and reliable, but understood, validated, and trusted.

What You'll Build

  • Scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from core banking sources (CRM, transactional systems) to the data platform
  • Data models (dimensional, data vault, star) supporting analytical workloads, ML feature stores, and BI use cases
  • Data quality frameworks: profiling, validation rules, anomaly detection, and automated remediation workflows — including data quality metrics, KPIs, and monitoring dashboards
  • Exploratory data analysis and profiling to surface patterns, anomalies, and quality issues across AI/ML pipelines
  • Data validation tools and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across ingestion and transformation pipelines
  • Cloud data infrastructure on Azure (Databricks, ADLS Gen2) using modern ETL/ELT tools and cloud-native architectures
  • CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps, Databricks Asset Bundles, and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Data governance, compliance controls, and lineage aligned with banking regulations (GDPR, PSD2)

  • What We Need

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2–3 years hands-on in data engineering or data analytics — pipeline development, data modelling, or data quality
  • Strong Python / PySpark and SQL / SparkSQL; performance tuning on large datasets
  • Experience with Databricks / Apache Spark and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
  • ETL/ELT design patterns; data warehouse and lakehouse architecture concepts
  • Data quality mindset: profiling, anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and quality benchmarking
  • Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards (GDPR, PSD2)
  • Git / Azure DevOps / CI/CD; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Greek and English
  • dbt and/or PyTest for data transformation and pipeline testing
  • Apache Airflow / data orchestration; PostgreSQL / Delta Lake; Power BI or Tableau for quality dashboards
  • Logging and monitoring tools (ELK, Grafana) for pipeline observability
  • Feature engineering pipelines and ML training data availability

  • What's In It For You

  • Competitive salary and benefits, including but not limited to: life/health insurance, performance based bonuses, monthly vouchers, company car (depending on management level), flexible work arrangements, employee share purchase plan, parental leave and various corporate discounts
  • Continuous training & development through global platforms & local academy. At Accenture, we believe in bringing the best to our clients through continuous learning & improvement – from basic skills to industry-specific content – available to all our people
  • Career coaching and mentorship to help you manage your career and develop professionally
  • Ongoing strength and skill-based evaluation process
  • Various opportunities to develop your career across a spectrum of clients, industries and projects
  • Diverse and inclusive culture
  • Opportunities to get involved in corporate citizenship initiatives, from volunteering to doing charity work
  • Under our Brain Regain initiative, extra relocation benefits may apply
