Data Architect | AI & Data Platforms

We're partnering with a fast-growing AI-focused technology company that is transforming how organisations leverage data and artificial intelligence. They are looking for an experienced Data Architect to design and evolve the data foundations that power advanced analytics, machine learning, and Generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable enterprise data architectures across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Develop modern data lake, lakehouse, and data warehouse solutions to support AI and analytics workloads.
• Define data models, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and data quality standards.
• Partner with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and Product teams to deliver AI-driven products.
• Design and optimise real-time and batch data pipelines using modern data engineering technologies.
• Establish best practices around metadata management, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive architectural decisions for high-volume, high-performance data platforms.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to support Generative AI, LLMs, and advanced analytics initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience in Data Architecture or Senior Data Engineering roles.
• Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms within an AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics environment.
• Expertise with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Experience with technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, SQL, and Python.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT, data governance, and master data management.
• Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines and production data environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with Generative AI, LLMs, vector databases, or RAG architectures.
• Knowledge of MLOps platforms and machine learning lifecycle management.
• Cloud certifications or architecture certifications.
