Cloud Architect

The Lead Cloud Engineer is a technical leader responsible for building, operating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure across AWS and multi-cloud environments. You’ll lead teams, set standards, drive large projects, and influence cloud strategy and architecture for the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Provide technical leadership for cloud engineering teams and projects
• Lead engineering activities through direction, influence, and delegation
• Drive overall cloud architecture, design, and estimates to meet business and technology strategy needs
• Oversee integrations between cloud platforms and applications
• Set and maintain best practices for cloud infrastructure, automation, and security
• Lead design sessions for functional and technical specifications
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, IT Leadership, and business stakeholders to plan enhancements and new features
• Mentor and coach cloud engineers; review and approve infrastructure code and automation
• Ensure compliance with security guidelines and business standards
• Lead cross team initiatives, major projects, and solve complex cloud challenges
• Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization at scale

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 7–9 years of AWS engineering experience (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, etc.)
• Deep technical expertise in AWS and multi-cloud platforms (Azure,GCP)
• Advanced proficiency with Python and scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Proven leadership in CI/CD pipeline and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Mastery of monitoring and alerting tools listed above
• Experience designing and building infrastructure and web services at large scale
• Strong engineering background, ideally experienced with large scale data/distributed systems
• Full stack experience and understanding of cloud-based platforms and container services
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices and cross team collaboration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting
