About the Role

The XL team manages Glovo Spain's most strategically important accounts - the major national restaurant chains that make up the backbone of the food vertical. As Team Lead, you are the person who makes the team operate at the level it needs to.

You lead a team of Account Managers, set the commercial standard, and step in personally on the conversations and situations that require a more senior hand. You are also the layer that absorbs operational complexity before it reaches your manager - diagnosing problems, fixing what needs fixing, and building the structures that prevent the same issues from coming back. And you do all of this while keeping a high-intensity team performing at its best without running itself into the ground.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of Account Managers handling Glovo Spain's top restaurant partners. Coach them on commercial preparation, partner management, and how to run difficult conversations - and step in directly when the situation demands your level.

  • Be the most senior commercial voice in the room for partner escalations, complex negotiations, and high-stakes reviews. You are the first line of resolution, not a pass-through to your manager.

  • Diagnose and resolve the operational complexity that sits between the commercial team and everything else: internal blockers, process failures, cross-functional issues. You do not just flag them - you own them through to resolution.

  • Build and own the team's operating rhythm: how performance is reviewed, how priorities are set, how your AMs get the context and structure they need to do their best work.

  • Develop your people deliberately. You understand what each person on your team needs to grow, and you make that happen - through feedback, exposure, and honest conversations about where they are and where they are going.

  • Keep the team sustainable. High standards and high pace are non-negotiable. So is knowing when someone is close to the edge and what to do about it. You hold both.

 

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial or account management role, with a track record of driving outcomes independently - growing partnerships, handling difficult conversations, and moving complex commercial agendas forward.

  • Structured thinking and the ability to diagnose problems clearly. You separate the urgent from the important, get to the root rather than the symptom, and build plans that actually stick.

  • Experience leading or developing people, formally or informally. You know the difference between being the best individual contributor and building a team that performs at a high level consistently.

  • The kind of reliability that does not need managing. When you own something, it gets done - and the people around you know it.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and pace. Things move fast, priorities shift, and not everything is clean. You operate well in that environment and help your team do the same.

  • 5-8 years of experience. Backgrounds that work well: senior account management in marketplace, food delivery, FMCG, or high-growth tech; or a foundation in strategy consulting or operations with a subsequent move into a commercial role. What matters is the combination of commercial nerve and analytical structure.

  • Native in Spanish and full professional proficiency in English.
