Cloud Data Engineer

Location

hybrid, Porto, Portugal

Required Skills

3-5 years

building data pipelines on public cloud services (preferably AWS, also Azure/GCP).

1+ years

in data solution architecture, design, development, and support.

Experience With

Database architecture, ETL, BI, Big Data, ML, Advanced Analytics.

Spark ecosystems (Hadoop is a plus).

Pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Step Functions, AWS workflow).

Lakehouse architectures (Iceberg) and optimizations (Compaction, Z-Order, etc.).

Software development and transformation (Python, SQL, SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages, Docker, CI/CD, automation).

AWS services: Lambda, Glue, Crawlers, Step Functions, AWS workflow, DynamoDB, AWS Batch.

DevOps and Agile principles, infrastructure as code (CloudFormation and Terraform), artifact/vulnerability management.

Awareness of cloud foundation services (networking, security, storage, IAM).
